Our Story Began
The walls of Majestic Stove Lofts tell a story – of craftsmanship, innovation, and transformation. Today, that story continues with residents who bring new life to a timeless space.

A Landmark of St. Louis History
Built in 1928, the Majestic Manufacturing Company building once stood at the forefront of American ingenuity. Located in the heart of St. Louis’ industrial corridor, this red-brick complex served as the manufacturing headquarters for one of the nation’s leading producers of cast-iron stoves. At its peak, Majestic was shipping beautifully crafted ranges and heaters across the country, prized for their reliability, innovation, and style. The company’s products were a staple in American households for generations a – a symbol of quality in an era when craftsmanship defined a brand.
Where Function Met Form
The architecture of the Majestic building reflects the principles of the time: utility, permanence, and thoughtful design. It’s three- and four-story sections are constructed of heavy timber and reinforced concrete, wrapped in a handsome red brick exterior with clean lines and rhythmic window bays. The expansive industrial-style windows were designed to maximize daylight for workers, while the interior structure – exposed columns, beams, and high ceilings – supported the demands of heavy machinery and assembly lines. Though utilitarian by nature, the building reveals subtle touches of elegance, from decorative brickwork to carefully proportioned massing.
A St. Louis Legacy, Preserved
For decades, this facility was a hive of skilled labor, where machinists, assemblers, and engineers contributed to a booming regional economy. The stoves produced here were not just appliances – they were icons of domestic life in the early 20th century, bearing the “Majestic” name with pride. But like many industrial giants of the era, production eventually waned, and the building sat quiet for years. Its placement on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 helped secure its future, recognizing its architectural integrity and cultural importance to the city.

From Factory Floor to Urban Home
Today, the former factory has been reborn as Majestic Stove Lofts – where the echoes of the past remain visible in every detail. Residents walk the same hardwood floors where stoves were once assembled, and sunlight still pours through those original industrial windows. It’s a place where history is not only preserved but lived in daily. To call Majestic home is to take part in a uniquely St. Louis story – one of resilience, craftsmanship, and reinvention.
